with Maggie & Bruno
Tuesday (The first of this fundraiser series for Casa takes place on 10/28 at FCC Natick)
7:00—8:15 pm
offsite
In co-sponsorship, Roots & Wings, Natick Is United, Edwards Church Justice and Love In Action, Open Spirit, First Congregational Church of Natick and Sherborn UU Area Church bring to our community this fundraising event for Casa del Trabajador.
Explore how rhythm and beats affect you on a profound level, so that you can
feel nourished, resourced, and invigorated. Breathe. Move. Let Go. Unplug. At the same time, support an amazing organization, Casa del Trabajador (Metrowest Worker Center), to defend and expand the labor, civil and human rights of immigrant workers and families. Learn more about Casa here: https://www.mwc-casa.org/about1.html
This will be a gentle, deep-dive embodied movement exploration with percussion rhythm and beat. All are welcome, whether you are new to a yoga-type practice, or whether you have been in practice for awhile. If you have any accessibility concerns or ways you would like support, please reach out.
Drumming will be provided by Natick Drum Circle core member, Bruno Giles and guided movement instruction by Maggie Sky, who specializes in embodied movement practices.
Suggested donation: $25-$50. (If you do not have the means, no worries, just come!)
All classes meet on Tuesdays at 7pm. The first 3 dates and locations that are scheduled are October 28 at FCC Natick Center, December 9 at Edwards Church/Open Spirit and January 27 at Sherborn UU Area Church.
