Hatha yoga poses, breathing, and meditation meet ones own internal exploration-creating an awareness of, body, mind, and breath. In this yoga practice, you are encouraged to go inside which, in turn, creates an inner awakening, opening you up to feeling more fully alive. The Kripalu yoga practice guides you from yoga on the mat to yoga off the mat, being more present in your life and fulfilled.

No two people are alike and no two bodies are alike. This class focuses on helping you find the individualized yoga practice that is right for you through yoga postures, pranayama (breath work), and meditation. Slowing down as we transition through the asana practice creates a meditative, nurturing practice that facilitates endurance, strength and self-awareness. Yoga philosophy is interwoven into each class. Some yoga experience helpful, but modifications are offered for those with less experience.

Bring your mat and a desire to increase your overall wellness through this gentle to moderate practice. Taught in Kripalu style, with its mindful approach, you will move with awareness, honoring the wisdom of your body while exploring personal limits. Classes often include inspirational words while combining movement with breath and ending with deep relaxation to promote overall well-being and a peaceful mind.

Modifications and suggestions are made so that this class is suitable for all ages and abilities.
