Calm Your Mind and Energize Your Body - In this experiential 8-week live online program, you will learn mindfulness tools and techniques to approach your life with calmness, composure and enthusiasm. Based on ancient practices, MBSR is an integrative mind body approach created by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the UMASS Medical Center in 1979 and more than 25,000 people have completed this evidence-based training.

This program meets you where you are at and no prior meditation experience is needed. With mindfulness, you will begin to develop the ability to manage stressful situations by responding rather than reacting to them and improve your level of focus and resiliency cultivating greater self-awareness and ease in your everyday living.

SCHEDULE:
Starting Thursday, September 29th, this class meets for 2.5 hours each week plus a 1-day online retreat. Date/times: Thursdays 6pm-8:30pm EST, Sept 29-Dec 8
Orientation: Sep 29 - 6pm-7:30pm
All day Retreat on Sunday Nov 13 (9am-4pm) (Please note there is no class on Nov 10 or Nov 24)

Optional and Complementary during the 8 weeks:
*2 private 1-hr Yoga therapy sessions assessing your functional movement and compensation patterns - *Ayurveda Assessment to determine your body and mental constitutions and suggestions for lifestyle plan *30-minute distance Reiki Energy Healing session
