Jacqui Morton is a poet, essayist, doula, and mom. She created Holding Our Space following her second trimester abortion in 2011 and has published work in the Boston Globe, Salon, the Guardian, MUTHA Magazine, Mom Egg Review, Recovering the Self: A Journal of Hope & Healing, and Cognoscenti, as well as a chapbook of poetry (Turning Cozy Dark, Finishing Line Press 2013). Jacqui graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the MFA program at Antioch University Los Angeles, and attended doula training with ToLabor and the Boston Abortion Support Collective as well as training as a childbirth educator.
