"She's got it all-a masterful combination of song, performance and artistry, with a contagiously positive attitude and free spirit. Probably the most charismatic performance I've ever seen." -ACCESSLINE, IA

"A myriad of musical influences from across the globe fused with highly original lyrics produce an extraordinary aural experience." -DIVA MAGAZINE, London, UK

Zoë Lewis, Troubadour, Vaudevillian, Storyteller, Adventurer, Singer-Songwriter with High Vibe Songs, Spinning Plates and a Soaring Spirit

Come out to join community at Roots & Wings and celebrate Spring and all that is good about the human condition with English folk musician Zoë Lewis!

The Boston/Metrowest area will be graced with a rare and intimate performance from award-winning singer-songwriter and troubadour Zoë Lewis. Lewis has performed around the world and within the US with the likes of Judy Collins, Nancy Griffith Pat Benatar and and the Indigo Girls. Lewis is winner of the Colorado Rocky Mountain Folk Festival Troubadour Award in 2003 and New Folk Winner at the 2002 Kerrville Folk Festival and Audience Favorite at the 2001 Falconridge Folk Festival.

Lewis who now lives in Provincetown, MA grew up in Rottingdean England and moved to the US in 1990 which is when she began performing her unique and inspirational original songs. She performs her music, not only with guitar and piano, but also accompanying herself with a variety of other instruments including harmonica, ukulele, penny whistle, spoons human trumpet and more. Some of her songs have been used for TV commercials and her song Sheep was included as part of a PUTUMAYO compilation. Lewis also wrote the soundtrack for the documentary Vagina Monologues and for several other films. In 2011 Lewis wrote her first musical Snail Road which was performed in sold out crowds in Provincetown and directed by Broadways' A Chorus Line. Her second musical, Across the Pond portrayed a comparison of US and British cultures with a delightful array of passengers on board a plane contemplating what home is while high in the clouds with the entire theater converted into an airport setting. Lewis also runs a 1920s style SPEAKEASY in Provincetown featuring jazz music of the Prohibition and flapper time period.

A bit of a human music and troubadour prodigy, Lewis sings with a crystalline, driven voice that invites her listeners to look toward the silver linings as well as the wonders and whimsical nature of life often overlooked after childhood and to cherish the living earth around us and want for a better world.

Her indie style playful, yet dharmic songs and troubadour performances are infectious. She captivates and endears the audience to hang onto every word. Audiences also are found to laugh along and want to linger and get to know Lewis as best friend or a zen master as she teaches while she sings how to be light, yet care deeply about this life and the world around us.
