Susan Trotter, Ph.D. is a Relationship Coach and Public Speaker with specialties in divorce, dating, relationships, self-confidence and communication. She coaches individuals and couples, facilitates support groups, and loves to teach.

With a clear understanding of the importance of emotional well-being, mindset and communication, Susan is able to successfully coach her clients around developing a new relationship, strengthening an already established relationship, and processing past relationships.

Susan is also highly skilled in helping dating clients to learn how to navigate the dating world, both online and in real life, and to set themselves up to be more successful in the process. For those interested in online dating, Susan can also help clients develop their online profiles, learn to be more selective about prospective dates, and more fully enjoy the dating experience. Susan is passionate about coaching clients to help them achieve greater joy, success and satisfaction in their relationships.

In addition, Susan has a special interest in working with clients who are divorced or in the process of divorce. Beyond her professional experience, Susan is also a mother who has been through the divorce process herself. She has a deep appreciation of the complexities involved in divorce, and is able to use her personal experience, clinical skills and compassion to effectively coach her clients through this process.

Susan trained in clinical psychology, and was a practicing therapist for over twenty years. Her extensive background in psychology, therapy and coaching gives her a unique perspective in helping people to achieve greater joy, satisfaction and success in their relationships and all areas of their lives.

In addition to her private practice, Susan is on the Leadership Team of Vesta, a program designed to provide education, connection and empowerment to people in all phase of divorce. She is also a Community Leader with Pepperlane, whose mission is to make the world a better place for mothers by supporting them in growing their own businesses.

Susan graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brandeis University, and she earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University. In addition to private practice, Susan has worked in a variety of other settings, including community mental health centers, non-profit agencies, college counseling centers and government agencies.
