Janet is CPR Certified and is an insured fitness instructor, specializing and Nationally Certified in the West Coast Pilates Method (www.kathycoreypilates.com) and Resistance Flexibility and Strength training (www.meridianstretching.com). Current ongoing training includes private Shamanic guidance with John Myerson owner of Life Arts Center for Healing and Shamanic Study, (www.life-arts.com) Janet's practice has been ongoing since 2003 in the greater Boston area. Infinity Resistance Training is inspired by the Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training (RFST), Resistance Stretching, and Meridian Flexibility System (MFS) systems created by her Mentor/instructor Bob Cooley. Janet also trained with Elite trainers Anne Tierney and Steve Sierra, with Innovative Body Solutions (www.innovativebodysolutions.com). Anne and Steve were acting trainers for Bob Cooley and have since founded the Ki-Hara Method with their own company. Meridian Training is a combination of Hatha Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Resistance Training. The effect on the body is similar to that of Acupuncture; blocked meridians become clear and unstuck resulting in increased movement of chi energy which leads to improved health and wellbeing and all kinds of other wonderful concomitant improvements.

Janet's Pilates and Resistance teaching experience has been with one-on-one, small group training and large group classes in various studios or in home settings. Pilates equipment training with mat, reformer, Cadillac, spine corrector, ladder barrel, Wunda chair, Ron Fletcher Towel work, and magic circle. Resistance experience leading self stretch group classes, partner stretch class series, and private assisted stretching in home or private studio settings.

Janet was introduced to Bob Cooley the founder of the Meridian Flexibility system and immediately enrolled in the certification program for Meridian Flexibility and completed the year long program in November of 2006. Janet's inspiration to learn about flexibility was to protect and develop young athletes who train in intense athletic programs. With three teenage daughters participating in Gymnastics, soccer and cheerleading there was a lot to work with! Clients include young and old, weak or strong, injured or well, this system just fundamentally WORKS!!!!

Along with increasing strength/flexibility and protecting from injury the Meridian System also improves mental, spiritual and emotional health. For example stretching out the quad muscles can improve public speaking ability as the stomach Meridian is the center for public speaking. Pushups activate the Lung Meridian which increases your power and strength, a great asset prior to an interview. Adductors stimulate the Liver Meridian the center for freedom and frustration, silent frustration can be whisked away fairly quickly, the edge dulled to be able to deal more effectively with your issues.
