Most of us had some idea of what we thought parenting was going to be like and the kind of parent we wanted to be.
Then we became parents and we had some surprises coming.
Parenting was just a lot "more" than we thought. More love, more beautiful, more fulfilling,... and also, more stressful, scary, worrisome, frustrating, lonely, confusing, exhausting, and isolating.
We are good parents who sometimes have a hard time. When we get stressed, overwhelmed, scared, we often act with our children (and others) in ways that we did not "plan" to act. Most parents say or do things we regret at some point. We don't understand why we can't seem to stop it, as hard as we try. We snap. We yell. We revert to patterns that we swore we didn't want to pass on to our kids. Someone's voice other than our own comes flying out of our mouths.
Then we feel bad and we don't want to tell anyone, because this was not what we had in mind and not how we planned to parent. The truth is that the worse we feel, and the more alone we feel, the more likely these patterns are to pop up again. And again.
There are very real reasons why this keeps happening. You are not alone, and you are not a "bad parent."
You deserve good support. You deserve compassion and kindness. You can find solutions for those "hot spots" that you know can be tricky. You can heal. You can change generational patterns. You can feel more confident about your parenting.
This class will offer insight into why we so easily and quickly get triggered. You'll learn practical, feet on the ground tools to change this dynamic, both in the moment and for long term change.
This class is for parents of children of all ages.
Program is $45
