Beat the winter blues with an overnight Trail Yoga retreat in The White Mountains with PeaksandPoses

This event will be led by founder, Nancy Wind, Registered Yoga Instructor and SOLO First Aid Wilderness trained hiker/yogini

When: February 10-11, 2018

Where: In the White Mountains National Forest and Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire and at The Notch Hostel, North Woodstock NH

Cost: $200 for this unique retreat includes: an overnight stay at the hostel, 3 vegetarian meals, 2 guided hikes, trail yoga, hike safety tips, a guided meditation, a ticket for a nearby event Saturday night, seasonal recipes and more!

Lodging: We will be staying at The Notch Hostel in 2 shared bunk rooms. The Notch is a beautifully renovated farm style home owned by Serena and Justin Walsh which serves as base camp to the White Mountains. Serena, Justin and their staff are so warm and hospitable. All my stays here have felt like home. The Notch provides linens, blankets, towels, organic soap, coffee, tea and much more. There is a small sauna, a fire pit and a beautiful porch.

Meals: Vegetarian dining at The Notch for appetizers, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. On Sunday a trail lunch will be provided. You will provide your own trail lunch for Saturday along with trail snacks.

Hiking Trails: The itinerary includes two 3-5 mile hikes in the area. Hikes will be decided closer to the event as weather and snow conditions will be taken into serious consideration. Some ideas include: Greeley Pond, Mount Tecumsah, Lonesome Lake and Mount Pemigewasset. Details will be emailed to registrants.

Hiking Experience: ****You should have some experience participating in a winter activity such as: snowshoeing or x-country skiing. You should also have hiking and snowshoeing experience where you are gaining elevation. Please take into consideration having proper gear and clothing for this event.****

Equipment: You must have your own snowshoes and I suggest Microspikes too. Depending upon how much snow is on the trail, we may use both.

Enrollment will be limited to 8 people to keep our winter hiking group small. Sign up early as this event will sell out quickly.
